Reading through this topic for the first time, and I don't know why my brain is yelling at me to make this my comment:

The more you type out Themis Legal Academy, because it's called Themis Legal Academy throughout 5-3 (the case that takes place on the Themis Legal Academy campus full of Themis Legal Academy students), my brain which used to think '"Theme-iss" Legal Academy' is now going '"The Miz" Legal Academy' and Klavier Gavin's entrances are accompanied by "I Came to Play" and John Morrison Slo-Mo.

I think my brain is fried reading 4 1/2 cases worth of game... or the reverse of that, XD, in about 16 hours.

Wow, maybe that's why I stopped checking out VGMC. I know I was heavy into V, recognizing a bunch of those songs still (Rendezvous, DORCHADAS, ...Innocent Primeval Breaker?), but man, I just never came back.

Resident Evil 4

A conversation with a friend reminded me I both have this game and have never gotten past the first village (mostly because I was playing it as the wrong type of game; there is no no-kill stealth in Resident Evil, and worrying about ammo like previous entries barely mattered with how much you get and find over the course of the game).

Beat the game over the weekend. It was very fun, some great action, some cool enemies, and I liked Ashley far more than expected from horror stories over the years (aside from her constant Baby Mario cries for help in the late game). It was quite solid. My biggest complaints surround the story beats themselves what with the villain's plans no longer working as soon as he says them out loud and random ass Luis Sera cutscenes to make you remember he's still around guys.

Series rewatch complete.

One thing that is a LITTLE unsatisfying is the conclusion to Azula's arc.

Throughout the series, she's portrayed as this brilliant, firebending prodigy, all the way through Boiling Rock 2. Then we have Katara's revenge, the recap, Aangst about killing Ozai, and just general preparations for the two-part finale. The shift from "super-competent fire warrior" to "losing her fucking mind" is SO quick and without build (largely due to the scheduling of episodes) that it feels like doing her a disservice by the time she gets put down.

Same. It was quite quick, but the hurt was visible. Boiling Rock 2 happens and not only do her best friends go to jail rather than help her kill her brother, her brother has also joined the avatar and has gone full 'mother's son' that she used to torment, AND REJECTED Azula's warped attempt (of gaslighting and manipulation) to bring her brother back in with her (by lying to father and taking control of his story and truths for her benefit, and seeing no wrong in that).

And then she gets a bit of Zuko mirror when she speaks up at a planning session. Zuko spoke out in favor of honor and got scarred and banished by his asshole father. Azula spoke up in favor of total chaos and crazy fire lord shit, and got abandoned. "Yeah, it was your idea and you wanna come with me, but I don't care. You can be fire lord or whatever kthxbai." And so Zuko, Mai, Ty Lee, and now her father have abandoned her (not to mention mother issues where was clearly Zuko >>> Azula), and she's having a mental breakdown with something that should be a great day (I'M FIRELORD BITCHES) is just broken by context. The Dai Li being cast away after abandoning their king feels understandable, but it comes after the cherry pit which seems more like a crazy reaction, but crazy is irrational and breakdowns aren't good.

My run of luck has just ended.

9R-1SR. At least it's a Dupe of someone I've already been awakening.

I think my favorite thing about my Wind team is that it has Sorey, Dezel, and Zaveid. If only it weren't almost exclusively fighting Water-teams, I could field Lailah and go full Zestiria.

Zestiria wasn't the greatest game, but I do miss the characters in combat.

Lloyd is an SSR specialized in good defense with a minor in decent hits.
Yuri is an SSR with no attack, but a 7-hit arte, a 10-hit arte, and a 26! hit Mystic so he's combos up reaaaal well for others. Ooh, and a +10% Def to all when fully awakened? Daaamn, Lloyd, give me back all the levels I put into you.
Farah's got well-rounded stats, is a martial artist, and has a heal.
Cheria's a dagger-wielder with better defense than attack and a 3-cooldown AoE.
Malik is a sword-type with well-rounded stats, a high-attack gem, and some multi-hit artes.

IMO Yuri > Lloyd > Farah > Cheria > Malik

I've been so bad at focusing on a single group of six

I just keep wanting to build everyone up. I have like nine or ten I play around with at building up, a team of 5 water, a team of 6 fire, a team of 5 earth, and a team of 5 wind that I'll use for Training dungeons, and my highest single character is 65 right now. I really should focus down and build Rita to 80 since everyone else I'm still iffy on. Maybe my one SSR Holy and one SSR Dark too for Support reasons even though they've been getting stomped for their lack of defense recently.

I imagine down the line people will be going for full element teams rather than everyone rocking rainbow teams. Seems like you get 10% of a sub stones stats however if a character matches the sub stone element they get more. From what I read it's apparently 50% more.

Now I don't know if they meant they get 50% of the sub stone stats or 60% of the stats or 15%. Lemme see if I can work it out

Rita's Memoria is CRIT Damage +68% to water allies. I'm really interested in building up a good mono-water team at some point.

It definitely needs some work. I love Leon & Jude together because their Mystics both hit for 20+ and they usually go off together in the third turn giving the anchor like a 60% attack buff. Rita and Lloyd don't really fit the tempo, but Rita's just great and her defense debuff has been working out well for me. Lloyd's just there right now, really. He's alright. Good stats. I have a Gaius I've awakened three times that I just haven't used at all. Actually, yeah:

All supermarkets I know have at least one. Usually there's also a separate Kosher section nearby either attached to the end of international and wrapping into horizontal shelving outside produce/pickup or half an aisle all on its own.

But that also involves denographics and what sells in the area. A supermarket five minutes one way has a number of different offerings from one ten minutes the other way.

It was basically the opposite for me. I found the show extremely engrossing with every episode, but only a few isolated moments stand out in my memory like McConaugheys character tearing apart the soda cans, whereas the intro always stood out to me.

I remember mowing the lawn, the oner in episode 4, exploring the abandoned school, the Daddario scene, the church tent, the ominous end tease of the masked man in one of the episodes, the final showdown, them outside the hospital... and not much else aside from symbol flashes and Rust in the interrogation room.

Man, True Detective season 3 is tough to remember, too. I'm usually better with my memory than this.

Edit: Never watched an episode of Black Sails but family did, and the first notes of the intro hit me with recognition. So my nostalgia brain bombs still go off okay. Hmm.

Aside from recognizing some individual inages here and there (particularly the highways on Harrelson's face), I have zero nostalgia or recognition of that intro. And I watched Season 1 twice.

Edit: I'm also regretting not nominating one of my snubs...

Id never seen this version of the intro before. And I do like it more than the shorter version (I thought the part where he smashes open the glass in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just to get a new pair of glasses was particularly amusing), but I still strongly prefer the other Drew Carey intro. Even in the long version of Cleveland Rocks, the focus is primarily on the city and its famous spots, whereas in 5 O Clock World, the emphasis is on characterization, such as the way we see his escapist fantasy at work. You can even see that distinction in the theme songs for each intro. One is focused on Cleveland, the other on the characters struggle to make it through the work day.

For me
